Ronan Breslin BEng (Hons) PGCE. Member of PRS, MU and AES.
Ronan Breslin is an established TV, film and theatre composer. His writing credits include themes and incidental music for many television network programmes (Movie Connections, The Funny Side of the News) and Tartan Shorts as well as acclaimed scores for large-scale theatre productions such as UZ Productions’ “ Painful Creatures“, Tramway Theatre’s “Bisch, Basch, Bosch” and the Arches’ “Metropolis: The Theatre Cut”. In addition Ronan is musical director of the street theatre company “ Mischief La Bas” as well as one half of the media music production partnership Breslin-McGeoch.

An accomplished sound engineer and producer, Ronan has worked on albums by Future Pilot AKA, Belle & Sebastian amongst others, and is a partner in sound recording facilities, La Chunky Studios. He has a history in the music business going back to the mid 1990’s when he was signed to Sony Music Entertainment as a recording artiste and since then has continued to work with some of Scotland and the UK’s most innovative artistes both as a session musician and as a producer.

Ronan has ten years experience in the broadcasting industry, mainly as a broadcast audio engineer with the BBC and latterly as a project engineer on the BBC’s newest broadcast centre at Pacific Quay in Glasgow. Ronan’s main area of expertise is in sound post-production for film and TV and since leaving the BBC he continues to be called upon to provide consultancy work in this field.
