US Federal Direct Student Loans >

The William D. Ford Direct Loan Program is operated by the US Federal Government, to offer US citizens affordable loans to assist with education costs. The Glasgow School of Art (GSA) is a certified institution for this program. GSA students are also able to apply for private student loans to cover their cost of attendance whilst studying.

If you have been made an offer to study at GSA and are considering applying for a US Federal Loan, please read the information at the above webpage and e-mail g.fraser@gsa.ac.uk to request details of how to proceed with your student loan application.

Please note, only students enrolling on a Bachelor, Masters or Doctoral Degree program are eligible for US Federal Loans. Students on non-degree awarding programs, such as the Diploma in Architecture, are not eligible for US Federal Loans.  Please contact g.fraser@gsa.ac.uk if you are concerned about course eligibility. 

US Federal Student Loans are regulated by US federal laws enforced by the US Department of Education. GSA cannot guarantee that US Federal Loans once approved will not be removed in full at any time either by action of the US Department of Education or by GSA implementing US federal regulations. Please note US students studying at GSA are required to apply for their US Federal Loan(s) each academic year.
