International Student Welcome >

Glasgow is a very welcoming place and very easy to get about.

When you arrive in Glasgow - either at one of the airports or one of the train stations, it is fairly straightforward to get to GSA in the centre of the city.

If you are arriving at Glasgow International Airport and have a large amount of luggage we recommend you take one of the official taxis found just outside the airport building. An alternative - if you are not bringing very much with you - is to take the airport bus into Buchanan Bus Station which is about a 10 minute walk from GSA's Garnethill Campus.

If you are arriving at Glasgow Prestwick Airport the easiest way to get into Glasgow is to take the train to Glasgow Central Station. Please check that the train will be running when your flight arrives as it is not a 24 hour service.

From Glasgow Central Station (where most trains from England will arrive) or from Glasgow Queen Street Station (trains from northern & eastern Scotland) it is a 10-15 minute walk to GSA's Garnethill Campus or a reasonably priced taxi journey if you have a lot of luggage. Both stations have taxi ranks with official black taxis just outside the station entrances.

Both of our GSA accommodation developments are within 2 or 3 blocks of our main Garnethill Campus buildings.

Glasgow is very well served by public transport,  both rail and bus services, and the city centre very easy to navigate on foot.
