Programme Overview

This 15 week online course is designed to help students put together a portfolio of work for application to Art School or similar course of study.

Experienced Open Studio GSA Tutors will assist students in the development of their creative practice through live online sessions and group tutorials.   You will learn how to examine and develop visual ideas through a variety of 2D and 3D media and methods, with an emphasis on drawing.  Students will also be encouraged to solve problems creatively through research and practice to develop a greater sense of critical awareness.

An integral component of the course is the resourcing and development of ideas through independent sketchbook work, which will extend your practice out with the virtual studio and class hours.    The live sessions will be delivered through Zoom and Padlet, providing a virtual shared studio environment - details and links will be sent to you in your individual course Confirmation email.   NB No class Monday 6 November 2023

Students enrolling on this course should be making an application for degree or similar courses starting in 2024.
