Step 1 - Register with Widening Participation
If you are currently at a state secondary school in Scotland and meet one of our eligibility criteria, you should register* as soon as possible. This means you will begin receiving emails about portfolio courses, special events and application support, and be able to book places on the activities you want to attend.
To register, you need to complete our short online form. This should take no more than 5 minutes and can be done from your smartphone, tablet, laptop or computer. You will receive a confirmation email when your completed registration form has been submitted.
If you register with us but later decide that you no longer want to receive emails from us, you can unsubscribe at any time by emailing wp@gsa.ac.uk or clicking unsubscribe at the bottom of our emails.
Step 2 - Book a place on an event
We normally launch our annual programme at the end of May each year and begin taking bookings for our portfolio courses from then until they begin.
If you are care experienced or living in a quintile 1 postcode area, you will have first refusal on places on all of our activities. Remaining places will then be allocated to other eligible registered pupils.
If you receive an email from us advertising a course or special event, follow the instructions in the email to book a place. Places on our portfolio courses in particular fill up very fast so you will need to reply quickly in order to secure a place.
If you successfully book a place on one of our activities, we will ask you to complete another short online form so we have all the information we need to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for everyone attending.
